Halloumi Fries

Ingredients

Halloumi Fries

  • cups Halloumi Cheese cut in long wedges
  • cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Dipping Sauce

  • ¾ cups Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl mix the flour, paprika, and red chili flakes.
  • Cut halloumi cheese into 'fries'.
  • Chop cilantro, mix with yogurt and salt. Set aside.
  • Pour cut halloumi pieces into the flour mixture, and coat generously. Let sit for a few minutes. Mix through the flour again to coat again.
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • Place halloumi in heated oil and fry until crisp and brown.
  • Remove and drain any excess oil. 
  • Serve immediately.
