- 2 cups Red Split Lentils
- 1 Onion chopped
- 6 Garlic Cloves chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 6 cups Water or Broth
Saute the onions and garlic in the olive oil.
Stir in the lentils and saute for a minute or two.
Add the salt, pepper and spices.
Pour in the water or broth and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat and keep at a simmer, stirring occasionally.
Cook until lentils re soft, about 20 minutes.
