My March Favorites 🌻

I'm excited to share my favorites with you this month. Especially a very interesting hotel I'm excited to go back to this summer.

The weather seems to have turned and we’re enjoying some nicer weather in Amman.

I’m excited to share my favorites with you this month.

Especially a very interesting hotel I’m excited to go back to this summer.

Here’s what I’ve been liking this month…

Destination of the Month

Valetta, Malta

valletta

We just got back from Malta this week and we absolutely loved it!

Our AirBnb was this stunningly restored 17th century house.

Ryanair actually operates some flights out of Amman so we took the opportunity to visit somewhere we had never been.

I always wanted to visit as the Arabs were there for a long time and I’ve heard there’s an interesting combination of Arab/Italian language.

You can reserve our AirBnb for $45 a night.

Hotel of the Month

Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío

HOSPES PALACIO DEL BAILIO

Last summer, we took a trip to Spain to visit my very good friends in Marbella.

One our way down, we stopped in Córdoba for a couple days at the Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío.

This hotel exceeded our expectations!

So when we were booking our trip for this summer to visit them again, it was a no brainer to add in a couple of days again to visit Córdoba.

And this wonderful hotel.

We’ve also added another couple days at the end of our trip to visit Granada.

I’ve never visited so took this opportunity to explore another of Spain’s beautiful cities.

We decided to book the sister hotel – Hotel Hospes de los Patos – to see if it’s as wonderful as their hotel in Córdoba.

I wrote a full review of our stay and you can read it here.

Book your stay at Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío via Booking.com for $375 a night.

Restaurant of the Month

Shirube

Shirube Shimokitazawa

Around this time last year, we visited Tokyo and stayed in the neighborhood Shimokitazawa.

On our first night, we ate at this izakaya (a Japanese pub) called Shirube.

The food was truly incredible!

When I used to travel to Tokyo, it was for work so I would spend most of my time in the centre.

I was fortunate to eat at some of the most incredible restaurants.

But during this trip, we ate at a lot more down to earth izakayas and the food was just as incredible.

If you happen to visit Tokyo, don’t miss out on this little nook of culinary paradise.

Book of the Month

“What Money Can’t Buy” by Michael J. Sandel

The key idea of this book that fascinated me is the idea that markets are morally neutral.

But I think most people can recognize that this isn’t the case at that money corrupts most things, including the markets.

This book delves deeper into how markets are governing our lives like never before.

If you want to challenge your thinking and learn some very interesting facts about our daily lives you never would have though of, you’ll enjoy this book.

You can buy yours on Amazon for $9.99.

Kitchen Gadget of the Month

Icing Spatula

Since making my To Die For Carrot Cake last month, I’ve been going on a bit of a baking spree!

And the most essential tool you need to ensure perfect icing, is an icing spatula.

This affordable little gadget has a big impact.

I couldn’t make my cakes without it.

You can get yours here on Amazon for $3.99.

Travel Accessory of the Month

Clorox Wipes

Have you seen the Instagram account @passengershaming?

I knew that planes weren’t cleaned properly in between flights and I always use hand sanitizer to keep the germs away.

But since following this account, I can’t travel without Clorox wipes!

Trust me – just one look at their stories and you’ll be packing them for your next trip.

You can buy 6 to-go packets on Amazon for $13.99.
