Spring is well into its stride here in Amman and we’re loving the warmer weather!
We’re starting to sit back outside again in the garden.
One of the reasons we moved here was for the weather and Amman has been showing us we were right.
Here’s what I’ve been liking this month…
Destination of the Month
A destination that’s been on my list for a long time is Vietnam.
Not only does it look incredibly beautiful, but the food looks mesmerizing.
I’ve travelled around the world but there are still a few places I haven’t been.
Vietnam is one of them and I’m glad that I’ve waited to visit.
I read an article recently in the Financial Times and it has reignited my passion to explore the country.
Hotel of the Month
A big event happening this year in the Middle East is the Dubai Expo 2020.
I used to visit Dubai multiple times a year for business.
And seeing what they’re capable of, I can only imagine what an impressive job they’re going to do at the Expo.
My favorite hotel to stay in was The Palace Downtown, right on the Dubai fountains in front of the Burj Khalifa.
It’s a fantastic hotel and if you’re staying in Dubai, there’s no better hotel to stay in.
And I feel confident saying that as I’ve stayed in what feels like the majority of the hotels in Dubai!
Book your stay at The Palace Downtown via Booking.com for $324 a night.
Restaurant of the Month
When my brother was in town recently, we went to a Turkish restaurant here in Amman.
And it was unbelievably delicious!
When we went to Istanbul in October, I didn’t expect to enjoy authentic kebab meat outside of Turkey.
Well, as you can see from above, we definitely found a near perfect alternative.
If you find yourself in Amman, don’t miss this place!
Book of the Month
This book captured my fascination.
It was so interesting to read about how food was preserved years and years ago.
So many of these techniques were forgotton, yet it’s amazing how many foods are enhanced by this method.
I now have a few new techniques and dishes added to my kitchen bucket list.
You can buy yours on Amazon for $18.99.
Kitchen Gadget of the Month
It gives the dough space to rise in a warm, soft environment.
It’s made in such a way that it’s easy to get the dough out after it’s risen.
I’m a huge fan of making bread and any little gadget that helps me make better loaves!
You can get yours here on Amazon for $14.80.
Travel Accessory of the Month
I recently wrote an article about the 21 Must-Have Gifts for Business Travelers.
And this power bank is something that everyone needs!
The amount of times this has saved my skin is unreal.
You never know when you’ll find yourself without a charger and actually need one.
You can get yours here on Amazon for $29.99.
